Attempting to Train a lot!
This week was quite a bit better for training than last week. I managed to lift twice and ride both on the rollers and outside a few times. I still had lots of meetings and had 2 tests and a speech but it is my last semester so I am trying to enjoy it as well. overall school is going pretty well I think and I have managed not to fail any tests yet which is always good. Next Friday I am displaying my research at a Purdue Department of Foods and Nutrition Poster session. It should be fun and it will be the first time I am showing it. Hopefully it will be good practice for the huge conference I am going to in April. This weekend should be fun. I am gonna go hiking and ride rollers tomorrow. Sunday I am going to attempt the longest ride of the year hopefully about 5 hours! I can't believe next week is already the first race of the year!!!

Stressed out!
This was a pretty stressful week. My applications for the Dietetic Internships needed to be mailed Friday and while they were mostly done I still needed to go through and edit them as well as have others look at them. I did get them mailed around 2:30 on Friday which was a huge load of stress off my shoulders. Now I just have to wait and find out if and where got in which I won't find out until mid April. I didn't get a whole lot of good training in this week but I did still manage a few quality rides. I had a presentation Thursday and a test on Friday but I think that despite everything they went pretty well. I am gonna try to get a head of my homework and studying for this week so that i can get a lot of good training in. There is less than 2 weeks until the first collegiate race and I am pretty excited about it. This weekend I went to visit Ellen at the University of Illinois. We had a pretty good time. We went for a really muddy hike, went to a really awesome chinese buffet and best of all she made me sweet and sour chicken on Friday night for dinner which is probably my favorite Chinese dish! So overall it was a pretty good week but hopefully this one will be a little bit less stressful.

Wild Weather
The weather has been crazy the past week. Thursday I went XC skiing on the golf course here and it was pretty cold. Then Friday I went for a ride and it was pretty nice outside but not exceptionally warm and then Saturday was super warm and all the snow melted. I was hoping to do some more skiing but I guess I will just have to wait until more snow falls again. Anyway I did get out for a pretty nice ride Saturday in the brutal wind. My roommate Will is training well this year and should be pretty strong for the upcoming collegiate season. It was fun riding with him and I am happy to see him getting back to good training again. Sunday Greg and I rode and we got chased by a lot of dogs. I think more dogs chased us than cars past in 3 hours. It was fun we rode some hilly, wooded roads. This week school kind of stinks I have a lot of stuff due and I have a test Friday. It seems like I also have a lot of meetings as well that are preventing me from weight lifting in the mornings. But I gotta pass school to get finished. This weekend is Valentines day and I am gonna go visit Ellen which should be fun. Hopefully the weather stays nice so we can go hiking somewhere. Hope everyone reading gets to get out and enjoy this warm weather in Indiana.

Panther/RGF Presented By Felt Bicycles Team Meeting
I met all of my new Panther/RGF presented by Felt Bicycles teammates and the team management this weekend. I think this is going to be a great year. The team is very well organized and the riders all seem enthusiastic, hard working and fun. We got a lot of awesome new goodies including our frames from Felt, a bunch of awesome Hammer Nutrition Products to use, a new saddle from Fizik, some sweet team soccer jerseys, water bottles, and socks. We are going to have really sweet team kits and bikes this year! We have a pretty good racing schedule but it isn’t finalized yet. We also got some gas cards courtesy of Giant Eagle grocery stores. I am pretty stoked about the team and can’t wait until May when we really get to start racing together and I will be done with school!!!!
